Rowena brings to the faculty a wide range of music education skills, in particular arranging and singing theory and practice. She is an Approved Music Arranger, and Certified Director through Sweet Adelines International, and has formal piano and voice qualifications through Trinity and Royal Schools. Rowena arranges for many vocal ensembles worldwide and is renowned for her show charts being so true to the original song: you will recognise her arrangements of A Million Dreams and A Thousand Years.
Rowena sings tenor and is Assistant Director of Waikato Rivertones Chorus and sings in Zest quartet. Rowena is also the ACP coordinator for Region 35.
Rowena aims to inspire our region's choruses, bringing fresh educational topics that might not have been explored before, and to create arrangements that are accessible for young singers as well as mature singers.
