The following information applies to both quartets and choruses:
Competitors use the same lighting and staging options that are available to the International Division competitors ie no pyrotechnics or electricity is allowed on stage.
Additional staging requirements are not allowed for Open Division contestants apart from the following:
- Two standing hands-free microphones located on either side of the stage. They can be removed from their stands but must be returned by the end of your package. Microphones may not be brought onto or taken off the stage. Competitors in Open Division may choose to also use the centre (quartet) microphone.
- Lighting - no additional colour wash lighting will be offered. Open division competitors may request lighting ‘fades’ (increases and decreases) and these should be clearly indicated on the cue sheet.
You will find the cue sheet on the forms page. Hand your cue sheet to Competition Coordinator at the quartet and chorus briefing. As well as lighting cues, your cue sheet should include MC cues; microphone use must also be clearly stated.
Open Division Information from Sweet Adelines International website is found in the quartet portal; https://sweetadelines.com/Regional-Competition/Quartet-Portal (you'll need to be logged in to the SAI website)
